January 2, 2011: Simplified addressing expanded to city routes.
February 2011: New service type identifiers for reply mail required
April 2011: Postage paid everyday greeting cards become available
January 22, 2012: The USPS raises postage rates.
May 16, 2012: The Postal Service will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service to codify that primary lithium metal or lithium alloy (nonrechargeable) cells and batteries or secondary lithium-ion cells and batteries (rechargeable) are prohibited when mailed internationally or to and from an APO, FPO, or DPO location.
